1960年後期より、アメリカの消防法に基づきコットン100％の裏起毛素材が危険と判断され、ポリエステルやアクリル、レーヨンが含まれるようになった経緯がありました。
この商品は、その時代を経た1970年後期に使用されていたアクリル混の「REVERSE WEAVE（リバースウィーブ）」を復刻したシリーズのハーフジップフーデッドスウェットシャツです。
当時の混率を忠実に再現したコットン90％・アクリル10％。旧式のシンカー編み機で編み立てた独特のボリューム感と風合いが特長です。
胸のプリントの「USAFA」はアメリカ合衆国の空軍士官学校（United States Air Force Academy）をモチーフにしたもので、1970年代にChampion（チャンピオン）ブランドが同校に供給していた商品のデザインをそのまま採用しています。
ファスナーは1893年に世界で初めてファスナーを発明した米国TALON社製。
スライダーはメカ式ロック登場以前の手で押さえて止めるカムロックタイプで、復刻ではなく1960年代以降の貴重な実物のストックを使用しています。
ネームタグは1970年代モデルの「青単タグ」（青単色タグ）。
左袖にCロゴワッペンが付いていない点も当時の仕様そのままです。
アメリカの空軍士官学校は、士官候補生が正規士官として勤務するために必要な能力やリーダーシップ、知識を育成する4年制の学校。
卒業生は理学士（Bachelor of Science）の学位を取得し、空軍少尉もしくは宇宙軍少尉に任官します。

In the late 1960s, 100% cotton fleece-lined fabrics were deemed unsafe under U.S. fire safety regulations, leading to the inclusion of polyester, acrylic, and rayon in the fabrics.
This product is a half-zip hooded sweatshirt from a series that revives the acrylic-blend "REVERSE WEAVE" fabric used in the late 1970s.
This garment faithfully reproduces the original blend of 90% cotton and 10% acrylic. It features a unique volume and texture, achieved by knitting on an old-fashioned sinker knitting machine.
The "USAFA" print on the chest is inspired by the United States Air Force Academy, and the design is a direct adaptation of products that the Champion brand supplied to the academy in the 1970s.
The zipper is made by TALON, an American company that invented the world's first zipper in 1893.
The slider is a cam-lock type that is held in place by hand, predating the advent of mechanical locks. It's not a reproduction, but uses a valuable original stock from the 1960s or later.
The name tag is the "blue single tag" (solid blue tag) from the 1970s model.
The absence of the C logo patch on the left sleeve is also a faithful reproduction of the original design.
The United States Air Force Academy is a four-year school that trains officer candidates to develop the skills, leadership, and knowledge necessary to serve as regular officers.
Graduates receive a Bachelor of Science degree and are commissioned as Second Lieutenants in the Air Force or Space Force.
