Description

This is the first patent model crew neck sweatshirt, a reproduction of the earliest "REVERSE WEAVE®," which was developed in 1934 and patented in 1938. The "REVERSE WEAVE®" manufacturing method was devised by Sam Friedland, a salesman who had previously worked as a cutter at the long-established American men's clothing store Hickey Freeman, after a customer pointed out to him that his clothes were shrinking after washing. After much trial and error, this method was developed to solve this problem. By using fabric that is normally used vertically in a horizontal direction, we have succeeded in reducing shrinkage. This reproduction product faithfully reproduces the seamless shoulders made from a single piece of fabric with no seams at the shoulders, as well as the original manufacturing method of creating a pattern from a tubular sweatshirt. The original collar name, which did not say "REVERSE WEAVE®", has also been reproduced. The print is based on a real vintage product design, and the absence of the C logo patch on the left sleeve is also a feature that remains the same as it was back then.
