The amount of feathers has been adjusted to make it lighter than winter down jackets, making it perfect for spring outerwear. It can be worn as an inner layer under a coat in winter and as an outer layer in spring and autumn. The collarless design pairs well with hoodies and turtlenecks, allowing for a wide range of coordination options. The loose fit allows for comfortable layering, even with thick sweatshirts and hoodies, without looking bulky. The outer fabric is made of water-repellent nylon with a textured, washed finish, giving it a light and natural look. Smooth jersey is used on the collar and inside of the cuffs for a comfortable feel and a good fit. The front features snap buttons for easy on and off. The drawcord at the hem prevents cold air from entering and allows you to adjust the silhouette. The waist pocket has a zipper, so you don't have to worry about small items falling out. The NANGA logo discreetly printed on the left sleeve adds an accent. The company name comes from Nanga Parbat, an 8,000-meter-high peak in the Himalayas. Founded 74 years ago in Maibara City, Shiga Prefecture, at the foot of Mount Ibuki, the company is a domestic manufacturer of feather products. Nanga Parbat is the ninth highest mountain in the world at 8,126m above sea level and is also known as the "Man-eating Mountain." It refers to a mountain that is difficult to climb and has resulted in many people getting lost in the accidents, and the company name embodies the founder's desire to "do it precisely because it is difficult, to climb where no one else has climbed." NANGA's specialty is feathers. Thanks to the know-how we have cultivated over the years in selecting, washing, and managing feathers, we are able to continue producing warmer feather products. [Feathers carefully washed in Japan] All feathers used by NANGA are washed and processed by feather processing manufacturer Kawada Feather. The processing plant is located in the Ise Plain in Mie Prefecture, and the water (ultra-soft water) obtained in the rich environment surrounded by mountains and the climate suitable for drying are excellent for the processing process, producing high-quality down. [Made by skilled craftsmen] Because we have our own factory, we are able to utilize the skills of our experienced craftsmen for feather filling, sewing, maintenance, and NANGA's unique manufacturing techniques, and by carefully performing each process, we are able to create safe and secure products.
