COOHEM is a coined word derived from the knitting technique known as "kohen" (interweaving).
This is a proprietary brand of Yonefuji Textile Co., Ltd., a long-established Japanese knitwear manufacturer.
The brand was launched in Fall & Winter 2010, pursuing the infinite possibilities of knit textiles as a material.
The "interweaving" technique, which involves combining multiple materials, is born from the skills and sensibilities of craftsmen cultivated over many years.
From material development to production, every step is carried out in-house at our own factory, and its high quality has earned us many fans not only in Japan but also overseas.
The completely original textiles, developed through the fusion of high technical skill and the creativity of director Ken Oe, produce a unique three-dimensional feel and coloring, establishing the brand as a highly fashionable factory brand.
By using multiple materials and employing a technique called "interweaving," which creates woven-like textiles using a knitting structure, we can achieve new material textures, expand color possibilities, and enhance comfort.
This brand incorporates knit textiles created using a rare "interweaving" technique into standard designs, creating sophisticated, real-world clothing for adults and showcasing Japan's manufacturing culture to the world.
