This zip-up cardigan is made by sampling the tweed liner of a motorcycle coat used by the French military in the 1940s, with the silhouette balance and details reconstructed and the material replaced with knit. It features an extremely short length and wide body and sleeve width, and although the front cannot be closed due to the liner, it has been arranged so that it can be opened and closed by adding a metal zipper. The color is black, which is not found in vintage items, making it easy to coordinate with other items. It is made using worsted yarn that is a half-blend of British Down wool and American South Wool, and is knitted in a mid-gauge jersey stitch with a purl stitch.
