Description

It was knitted in a high-density typewriter weave using a custom-made 36-gauge circular knitting machine.
This machine uses the finest yarn possible: 1/60 super120 non-mulesing wool.
Furthermore, by performing a fulling process in the final stage of fabric production, a slight nap is created, resulting in a high-gauge melton fabric.
This textile possesses both a sense of luxury and a rough, rugged feel.
Of course, it retains the functionality of wool (heat retention, antibacterial properties) while offering a smooth feel against the skin and the stretchiness of knitwear—a completely new wool material.
A striped pattern is created by inserting polyester threads at equal intervals.
Featuring small buttons, the garment's drape is carefully considered, and the front panel is designed with a calculated amount of fabric to look great whether buttoned or unbuttoned. It's finished with a balance that makes it suitable for both formal and casual occasions.
*Fulling processing
In the finishing process for wool, this involves making the fabric denser and intertwining the ends of the fibers to create a felted texture.
*Non-mulesing wool
Mulesing is a method of raising lambs by cutting off the skin and flesh from their hindquarters while they are still young, in order to prevent maggot infestations in sheep that produce wool.
In contrast, non-mulesing wool is obtained using a gentle, natural farming method that avoids the painful mulesing process for sheep.

English Description
This is knitted in a high-density typewriter structure on a 36-gauge custom-made circular knitting machine. We use 1/60 super120 non-mulching wool, the finest yarn this machine can knit. In addition, the fabric is lightly fluffed by shrinking in the final process, resulting in a high-gauge melton fabric. This textile has both a luxurious and coarse feel. Of course, the functionality of wool (heat retention and antibacterial properties) is maintained, and this unprecedented wool material has a light feel and the stretchiness of a knit. Polyester yarns are inserted at equal intervals to create a stripe pattern. The small-sized buttons are distinctive, and the material's fall is utilized to take advantage of the material's fall, with a calculated amount of space taken up in the front so that it can be opened or buttoned up. It is finished with a balance that can be worn casually as well as dress wear.
Shrinkage processing
The process of finishing wool by making the structure denser and the wool ends entangled to make it felt-like. Non-mulching wool Mulesing is a method of growing wool by cutting off part of the skin and body of the hindquarters of lambs while they are still lambs in order to prevent the parasitic infestation of maggots in the wool-producing sheep. Non-mulesing wool, on the other hand, does not involve mulesing, which is painful for the sheep, and is obtained by gentle rearing methods that leave the sheep in their natural state.
point
A stripe pattern with the widest possible spacing, creating a just-right balance that almost looks like a solid color.
By applying the fulling process twice, the nap is raised just right, resulting in a material that is unique in that the luxurious feel of the material and the rough texture created by the fulling process are contrasting and contrasting.
It has a nice drape and softness, and is less prone to wrinkles.
I love this pitch. It's made of wool, a material they use every season.
It's not that thick, but it's warm. This thing.
I also love how the fabric becomes fuzzy and the pattern fades with wear, as it ages.
A double-breasted jacket with ample width.
Despite its appearance, it's made of a lightweight material, giving it a comfortable feel as if you were wearing a piece of cloth.
This is my favorite style of the season.
Just throw it on casually. The material is beautiful, so despite the loose fit, it's a jacket that looks great when worn.
The appeal of a classic. Washable high-gauge wool. A punchy design.

Brand Concept
KANEMASA PHIL. is an original brand of a circular knitwear manufacturer based in Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture, which originated from Kanemasa Knitwear Co., Ltd., founded in 1964.
To ensure the continuation of our unique knitting machines specializing in high gauge knitting, our jacquard machines capable of freely expressing a variety of patterns, and the distinctive skills and craftsmanship required to operate these machines with ease, our own brand KANEMASA was launched in the Spring/Summer 2021 season. *From the Autumn/Winter 2023 season, coinciding with our overseas launch, the brand name will be changed to "KANEMSA PHIL."
The brand's iconic logo was designed by Clement Johant, and the resulting design blends the historical context of the 1960s, when the company was founded, with European culture.
Based on the concept of "FUTURE CLASSIC / FUTURE VINTAGE," we create clothing for the future as we envision it today. We consider the future and offer a wardrobe that makes the wearer feel comfortable, happy, and joyful.
KANEMASA PHIL. products, which reflect the innovation, creativity, craftsmanship, and tradition we have cultivated and built up over the years, are made without compromise, from materials to design.
PHIL. is derived from the ancient Greek word φίλος (phílos, "beloved"), and is an abbreviation of derived words such as Philosophy ("philosophy," "love of wisdom and knowledge"), philharmony ("love of harmony"), and phile ("lover").
Based on the philosophy of "looking back at history and creating the future," we chose our brand name with the desire to share our products with the world.
