WORKERS Cotton RAF Sweater, Fade Black

The body is made of extra-thick jersey knit. The knitting structure is the same as a T-shirt, but by inserting multiple strands of extra-thick yarn into the knitting needles, it achieves the thickness of a chunky knit sweater. Furthermore, the reverse side of the fabric is brushed to make it even more sweater-like. I wore it a lot myself this winter. It's really warm. It has the casualness of a sweatshirt, but the feel of a sweater. It has ribbing, many needles removed, and a clearly defined bumpy texture. The more needles removed (the more bumps you create), the better it stretches, but the weaker it returns to its original shape. The amount of needles removed is just right, finding the right balance. The RAF Sweater is inspired by the turtleneck worn by the RAF pilots in the movie Dunkerque. When worn with just a T-shirt underneath, the brushed side of the sweater feels nice against the skin. In the middle of winter, layering an inner layer under the RAF Sweater keeps you warm. Even 100% wool can be less itchy, like Icebreaker, or if you're worried about itchiness, we recommend wearing synthetic materials like Patagonia's Capilene or Montbell's Geoline. An inner layer + RAF Sweater, and a thick lined jacket on top should be fine even in the middle of winter. A subtle change this year is that the White yarn is not the original color, but is bleached (pure white) and then dyed white. The process is the same as for the other colored items: "bleached pure white and then dyed white." The reason is that previously, the body and ribbing, although the thickness of the yarn may differ, were almost the same color, but this year's samples are completely different. The supply chain is messed up all over the world, and even if we procure yarn of the "same specifications," it won't be the same, so we are taking the extra effort to maintain quality. For products that use this kind of natural yarn, we make new samples every time. This is because the quality of the yarn differs from year to year, as is the case this time. Even with such materials, the unit cost goes up, and it takes more effort... We apologize for the gradual price increase. The product has been overheated.
