NOCHINO OPTICAL SANSUI FR #1. GLOSS BLACK × CLEAR to GREY (調光)

An improved model based on the brand's signature SANSUI.
The front thickness of SANSUI was scaled up from 5mm to an extra-thick 8mm.
A Boslington type slightly larger than the signature model NOCHINO.
By making it thicker than usual, it suppresses stray light from angles, creating the glamorous transparency and unique luxury characteristic of the plastic material.
While giving it an overwhelming presence, a manual process called 'hatsuri finishing' was applied to the inside of the front to give it varying strength. It also serves to cover the thickness of the prescription lens.
A mid-sized unisex Asian fit Boslington type, with all the parts designed to maintain a three-dimensional feel.
The fit is designed to match the majority of people, calculating the low nose, which is a characteristic of Asians.
Features a cling spat (metal part with adjustable nose) that greatly affects comfort. A design that incorporates the skills of skilled artisans.
For almost the entire day's active time, the nose pad adheres closely to the skin and uses a luxurious, allergy-free titanium pad.
The rivet parts that secure the hinges are finished with a finishing method called 'sharpening,' where they are placed in plastic and then polished, with skilled craftsmen carefully polishing each one until the very end.
The two-curve lens, a symbol of the NOCHINO OPTICAL brand, features a beautiful curved surface that is neither flat nor typical curved type, retaining traces of old hand-sharpened glass lenses, and its shiny surface exudes a sense of luxury.
Additionally, one of the brand's iconic features is the photochromic lens that changes color under UV conditions, available in four versions.
The biggest appeal is the one that changes color from clear to one and the one and only lens version that changes from lightly dyed light gray-green to gray.

This product is handcrafted by artisans in Sabae, Fukui Prefecture. Therefore, due to the nature of materials and processes, individual differences may occur. Please note that when it arrives, there may occasionally be slight distortions unique to manual work.

About Photochromic Lenses
Depending on usage frequency and environment, photochromic lenses generally have a service life of about three years.
If used frequently under ultraviolet light or stored in high-temperature environments (e.g., sauna, bathroom, car interior, etc.), the dimming performance may gradually deteriorate.
