CONCEPT
近代化の流れとともに日本にやってきた「洋服」
和服を着ていた日本人からすると当時は奇抜に見えたかもしれません。
外交、式典、舞踏会・・・
さまざまな場面で着用されるようになった「洋服」
そんな時代の変遷にさまざまな思いを馳せながら、
SAYATOMOは当時の洋服のカルチャーを振り返り日本に洋服が伝わってきた当時、
好まれて穿かれていた礼装をベースにどこか懐かしくも新しさを感じる
『和魂洋才』なデザインのパンツを提案していきます。
彼らはどのような気持ちで「和服」ではなく「洋服」を着始めたのでしょうか。
きっと「洋服」を楽しんでいたに違いないと私たちは考えます。

We propose pants with a 'Japanese spirit and Western talent' design.
What made them start wearing 'Western clothes' instead of 'traditional Japanese clothing'?
We believe they must have enjoyed "clothes."
