WORKERS, test production series, is this the second installment?
WOREKRS basically doesn't aggressively develop new factories. Instead, we keep in close contact with existing factories to think about how to create better products.
But I myself also feel, 'I want to try making something like this a bit more. I'm looking for a new factory that can make it.'
The first item was a tote bag. And the second item was a shirt.
This time, the shirt factory usually sews custom shirts.
Cutting is done individually. Although the sewing is assembly line, it is sewn repeatedly within the "specifications within this range."
The sewing thread is an incredibly thin filament. The image is of thread tightly made like a tokoroten. Spider threads are filaments too.
So, what about everyday yarn? That is 'spun yarn.' Whether it's cotton yarn or polyester, spun yarn is made by spinning short fibers. Filament is a synthetic fiber with no seams and is as flat as possible.
So, this BOX SHIRT sewn with filament yarn. The original inspiration is, yes, that Om. A body without a claw. A moderate looseness, different from today's big sizes.
The base collar is a bit low, and the feather collar is just as high as the base collar, so frankly, the fit is a bit off for a dress shirt.
The collar has absolutely no room at the height of the base or feather collar.
The material is 100-gauge double yarn poplin (also called broadcloth). When it arrives, please check the back. There is no breakthrough anywhere.
A flurry of folding and bowing down. The stitching is fine, giving it the classic 'dress shirt.' When you wash and expose it, it has the same texture as the shirts sold at Parco and Seibu in the 90s.
(It's sad for Saitama residents that they can't go to Omotesando to buy it) The button is Takasegai. Not suitable for dryers. It will crack. The core is water-soluble.
Although it is water-soluble, it doesn't just melt away; during sewing, glue sticks inside the collar and cuffs, but when washed, the glue melts and becomes a brush core.
Since it is delivered with a nylon and no washing, you might think, "Isn't the collar stiff?" but if you wash and hang it dry, it will be soft with a brush core.
Because it's a thin broadcloth, if you don't have a little core, it will get crumpled.
The materials are expensive, and since it's a custom shirt shop that cuts a single piece, labor costs are inevitable. So, the price range for WORKERS is quite different from usual.
Will customers accept it? So, this was a test production shirt.
