ナンガは、1941年に先代「横田晃」によって、近江真綿布団の産地からスタートしました。
社名の由来はヒマラヤにある8,000メートル級の高峰“ナンガバルバット”。伊吹山の麓、滋賀県米原市の創業74年の国産「羽毛商品」メーカーです。
ナンガ・パルバットは標高8126mで世界で9番目に高く、別名「人喰い山」とも恐れられ、 今までにたくさんの遭難者を出してきた登頂が困難な山のことを指し、その社名には創業者の「困難だからこそやってやろう、みんなが登らんとこを登ったろうという」という思いが込められています。
そのNANGAのこだわりは羽毛です。 長年培ってきた、羽毛の選定・洗毛・管理のノウハウによって、よりあたたかい羽毛製品を作り続けることができています。

Made from high-performance fabric that supports light-blocking, heat-shielding, and UV protection, it features a dual-way umbrella for rain and sun umbrellas, making it useful in any season.
Furthermore, the fabric surface is treated with Dupon's™ Teflon coating, providing excellent water repellency and durability. It is designed to be safe to use even in sudden rain.
The structure consists of 5 steps and 6 ribs, with a rib length of 52 cm. Despite being compactly foldable, the size provides solid coverage for the entire body, which is also attractive.
Additionally, a safety tip is used at the tip of the umbrella to ensure safety. It's ideal not only for everyday use but also for commuting and outdoor activities.

Nanga was founded in 1941 by the predecessor, Akira Yokota, from the production area of Omi pure cotton futons.
The company name comes from the 8,000-meter-class peak "Nanga Barbat" in the Himalayas. Located at the foot of Mount Ibuki, in Maibara City, Shiga Prefecture, we are a 74-year-old domestic "down products" manufacturer.
Nanga Parbat is the ninth highest in the world at 8,126 meters and is also feared as the 'Man-Eating Mountain.' It refers to a mountain that has suffered many lost lives and is difficult to climb, and the company name embodies the founder's wish: "Because it's difficult, we will do it, and everyone will climb where they should."
NANGA's focus is on feathers. Thanks to years of expertise in feather selection, washing, and care, we are able to continue producing warmer down products.
