Lot 857 Black, 13.75oz, Black Raw Denim, American Cotton 100% Actually, I have hardly ever worn a third in my life. I used to have a size 42 or something bigger, but when I wore it, it felt a bit tight. Looking closely, there was a tapering toward the waist, and even though the shoulders were large, the unique pattern didn't suit me. (It seems to suit a muscular American build) But recently, I got a corduroy third from the 90s—probably made at the Valencia factory—and tried it on... not bad. It doesn't have that intense waist tapering typical of the third style. Also, while browsing my favorite Dr John's Instagram account... Bruce Weber is wearing a third-top in his portrait. Since it's black and white, I can't tell the color, but it somehow looks like black denim. At that point, I started wanting to make one myself. But the problem is the silhouette. I hate the extreme waist tapering as usual. That's when I noticed the 806 first. It has a first-style silhouette without aperture, and I tried applying a third-style fabric design for the fabric transition... and that's how it took shape. Looking at the finished product, the silhouette is almost exactly the first-style one. Only the shoulders are slightly wider than the first-style one. This is due to the direction of the yoke fabric on the shoulders. The first is used horizontally, while the third is vertical and upright. Because the fabric shrinks differently vertically and horizontally, the shoulder width is slightly wider, but Dr. John's portrait also has a slightly lower-shouldered third-style style. I'll leave it as is. The fabric is about 13.7 ounces, WORKERS' classic, a specially ordered indigo denim from the cotton. The black is made by dyeing the vertical yarn all the way to the core of the yarn. So, the color fades as it turns gray, but the beard doesn't show. It doesn't fade stubbornly, so I don't choose to wear it even after the color has faded. The fabric is third-grade, but I deliberately use Selvedge without shrinkage or raw texture. That's why, even though it's third-layer, it has ears on the front and the whole thing is twisted. The product is dried in an owl tumbler and shrunk as much as possible before delivery.
