ABOUT THE DESIGN:
Based on a work jacket from the 1970s, this piece mixes details from 1980s hunting jackets into the front design.
By deconstructing elements of vintage wear from different eras and transforming them into leather, we elevated them into a new work blouson that breaks free from existing boundaries.
It features an original design that harmonizes the functional craftsmanship typical of workwear with the iconic pocketwork of hunting jackets.
The overall silhouette is designed with a relaxed atmosphere, creating a piece where the unique drape of leather intersects with multiple details.

This blouson is built on the foundation of a 70s work jacket, with the front design incorporating elements from 80s hunting jackets. By deconstructing vintage details from different eras and translating them into leather, we have evolved the classic work jacket into a completely new form. The design features a unique harmony between the functional construction of workwear and the iconic pocket work seen in hunting gear. The relaxed silhouette throughout emphasizes the natural drape of the leather, creating a piece where layered historical details intersect.

ABOUT LEATHER:
The cow leather I used earlier was characterized by its strong grain texture and a rugged impression.
However, this season we adopted Pakistani cow leather with less grain.
The moist texture is pleasant, and the silver surface of the high-quality leather features short, delicate brushed brushes, highlighting a delicate and refined appearance.

Switching to Refined Pakistani Cow Leather Previously, we used cow leather characterized by pronounced grain and a rugged appearance. This season, however, we’ve adopted Pakistani cow leather with a finer, more subdued grain. Its soft and smooth texture provides a luxurious feel, while the high-quality grain surface features subtle, short nap, highlighting its delicate and sophisticated aesthetic.

The brand name CCU (CCU) comes from the festival called "Chagu Chagu Umako."
Chagu Chagu Umako originated from the 'horse love spirit' represented by the southern babbling families of Iwate, and back when horses were still used for farm work, The event originated from the only rest day established during the busy farming season.
CCU pays tribute to this horse spirit, making it a timeless product that grows with every use.
With the concept of "LEATHER-COMFORTALE-PRODUCT," they select soft leather materials that dispel the traditional image of leather being hard or difficult to wear, and create patterns that value the gap between the human body and the leather.
The lineup centers on shirts, featuring leather items that blend seamlessly into everyday life.

The brand name CCU originates from the festival called 'Chagu Chagu Umako,' a traditional event in Iwate where horses adorned in elaborate harnesses proceed ceremoniously. Chagu Chagu Umako began about 200 years ago as a celebration to honor horses, allowing farmers to give their horses a day off after the rigors of rice-planting and to pray for their health at the shrine. CCU aims to create versatile products that honor this spirit of equine love, designed to deepen the bond with horses with every use. Under the concept of 'LEATHER-COMFORTABLE-PRODUCT,' the company selects soft leather materials that defy the conventional perception of leather as stiff and uncomfortable. Our approach includes meticulous patternmaking that considers the space between the human body and the leather.
