Description

1939年に海軍士官学校から軍装品として開発を依頼され、1941年に製品化したUSNリバーシブルTシャツの復刻商品です。
「1着で紅白戦ができるようなTシャツ」というオーダーに応え、当時のChampion®（チャンピオン）の営業マンであったハーマン・ビーバーが世界で初めて開発したのがリバーシブルTシャツでした。
今回のアイテムは1970年代のデザインを復刻したもので、カラーは開発第1号に採用された、海軍の代表色であるネイビーとゴールドの掛け合わせ。
同時期に採用していた、ブルーバーの中にChampionロゴを入れた通称「バータグ」と呼ばれる裾ネームも忠実に再現。
左袖にCロゴワッペンが付いていない点も当時の仕様そのままです。

アメリカンスポーツウェアブランド『Champion（チャンピオン）』は米軍学校の防寒着用に開発したウェアが原型となり、アメリカの若者を中心にスポーツウェアの必須アイテムとして注目を浴びました。オリンピック男子バスケットチームアメリカ代表の公式ユニフォームとしても有名で、ひとつひとつディテールにこだわった品質や素材、機能的なデザインはファッションアイテムとしても、多くのファンに親しまれています。

This is a reproduction of the USN reversible T-shirt, which was commissioned by the Naval Academy in 1939 to be developed as military equipment and commercialized in 1941.
Responding to an order for "a T-shirt that can be used for a Red vs. White game," Herman Beaver, a Champion® salesman at the time, developed the world's first reversible T-shirt.
This item is a reproduction of a 1970s design, and the color scheme is a combination of navy and gold, the representative colors of the navy, which were used in the first prototype.
The hem tag, commonly known as the "bar tag," which features the Champion logo inside a blue bar and was used around the same time, has also been faithfully reproduced.
The absence of the C logo patch on the left sleeve is also a faithful reproduction of the original design.
