Description

Riprapのポロシェイプドシャツ(コットンポプリンストライプ)。
ポロシャツの形をそのまま布帛シャツに落とし込んで制作したシャツ。これは昨今の日本の気候を考えたとき、
「やばいな。いよいよ真夏にポロシャツが着れなくなってきたな…」
ぼくはこれまで制作したヘヴィーウェイトポロをずっと気に入って着ているので、その感覚をシャツで表せたらと思い企画した一型。

カットソーの寸胴シルエットを表すべく、肩巾と身巾の差を極力少なくしたパターンメイク。
衿型はよく見るとほんの少しラウンドカラー。これは編地のポロ衿をイメージしました。フロントの浅い切込みはプルオーバーシャツとはまた違った印象。これもポロシャツならではの寸法です。

生地には肌触りのいいコットンポプリンを採用。
本来、縦縞ストライプのシャツ地をリバース使い(生地方向を横にして裁断)したボーダーパターン2タイプ。カラーはブランド特有のグレイッシュなDUSTY PINK/NAVYと、ショートスリーブでもオ・ト・ナなDK BROWN/BROWNの2種を用意。

縫製仕様は3cm間24針というとても細かい運針。脇は折り伏せ縫いと呼ばれる生地端が見えない縫い方で2-3mm巾仕上げ。接着芯を一切使わずフラシ芯のみで構成など…ドレスシャツの仕様をふんだんに盛り込んでいます。

春先はジャケットの下に着てもいいし、暖かくなってきたら釦全開で開放的に着れる"ドレスシャツ仕立ての疑似ポロシャツ"。
夏のコーディネートには欠かせないポロシャツ。編地では味わえない風抜けの良さをお楽しみください。

Riprap's polo-shaped shirt (cotton poplin stripe).
A shirt created by directly incorporating the shape of a polo shirt into a woven shirt. This is when considering Japan's recent climate,
"This is bad. I can't even wear polo shirts in the middle of summer..."
I've always loved and worn the heavyweight polos I've made so far, so I planned this style hoping to express that feeling through a shirt.

To express the cut-and-sew silhouette, the pattern makeup minimizes the difference between shoulder and body width.
If you look closely, the collar is slightly rounded in color. This is inspired by knitted polo collars. The shallow slit at the front gives a different impression compared to a pullover shirt. This is another dimension unique to polo shirts.

The fabric uses cotton poplin, which feels soft to the touch.
Originally, two types of striped stripes were striped shirts with striped stripes, but the striped fabric was reverse-cut (cut horizontally). There are two color options: the brand's signature grayish DUSTY PINK/NAVY and the stylish DK BROWN/BROWN with short sleeves.

The sewing specification features very fine stitching with 24 stitches per 3cm. The sides are finished with a sewing method called folded stitch, where the fabric edges are not visible, with a width of 2-3mm. Constructed entirely with flash cores without any adhesive cores, etc... It is packed with dress shirt specifications.

In early spring, you can wear it under a jacket, or when it gets warmer, you can unbutton it up and wear it for a relaxed look—a 'pseudo-polo shirt styled like a dress shirt.'
Polo shirts are essential for summer outfits. Enjoy the breathtaking quality that you can't experience with knitted fabrics.
