Field Shirt Ripstop has arrived from WORKERS.

Camouflage doesn't make the product design look good, so try it out as a pattern... and it looks cool.
What if we made this with plain fabric so that the arrangement of pockets and patches was clearly visible? That was the project.
Furthermore, the factory where we usually sew shirts is also the one who makes them.
The thick fabric suits Shirt Factory better.
However, the problem is the large number of pockets. Products like this really require a lot of manpower. At times like that, the timing was just right—shirt factories relocated, factories were consolidated, and production capacity increased.
"This is the only time!" and had it made. Of course, since the manufacturing process is much more extensive than for shirts, the labor cost is not for regular shirts but for what is commonly called jackets.
It's not about wanting to make it cheaply, but about the thickness of the fabric, the type of product, and the production capacity at the time.
The design features a chest flap with a non-gusseted pocket. Opening and closing are Velcro. Comes with a pen holder. The arm features a flap + hidden button + single-gusset design, creating an elaborate design.

The original I referenced was the 'Regular Length,' which was about 77 cm long, WORKERS are just under 70 centimeters tall.
Point 2: The design of the cuffs. The original buttons are hung inside so that no external buttons are exposed at all. That was the specification.
While the ideal 'military uniform' is designed to prevent getting caught in the area, it's hard to use for casual wear, so it's changed to an exposed button.
The cuffs are quite thick, and according to actual photos of wearing it, I sometimes roll it up above the elbow.
The WORKERS version also has thick sleeves.
The fabric is Coyote/OD Ripstop about 7 ounces.

The 3-ounce gingham and 5-ounce chambray are part of WORKERS' familiar "military-style but completely different fabrics" series.
I want to peacefully use a military design, which in a way has a somewhat precarious origin.

In actual photos, you often see the sleeves rolled up and the top of the front edge neatly ironed to create an "open collar."
The item I referenced was made by Proper. I've also seen American Apparel as well. Patagonia also makes products like this, and those have action pleats on the back and hook-and-loop openings on the elbow pads to fit in the elbow pads—they're really particular about it.
