The origin of the double V-neck is that highly elastic ribs are double-layered to stretch and shrink the neckline. (There is also a theory about sweat stoppers.) "The head with dimensions close to 60 cm can fit, but when it reaches the neck, it shrinks tightly to about 45 cm." It was a clever effort to achieve contradictory dimensions. That later became the 'vintage-like' feel. Modern sweatshirt fabrics use synthetic blends, which makes the body and neck ribs highly stretchable, so there's no need to pinch a V-shape. This is a unique feature of 100% cotton sweatshirts. This year, since it's not Reverse Time, there are no patches on the cuffs. Is that a change? Not really, but there's a small print on the chest. A subtle change is the gray ribbed color. The body color has been changed from one tone darker than last year's to a color closer to the body. Mechanism: The body's lining comes in 'upper, middle, and lower yarns,' with the upper yarn being a specific gray color. The inner and back yarns are natural. As a result, the pile becomes slightly thinner than the gray of the upper yarn. Until last year, I knitted ribs with gray upper yarn, so there was a color difference. That one looks cool in its own way, but this year I'm knitting colored yarn one tone lighter than the gray upper body yarn. When I say "choose," I actually mean that gray comes in several shades. In the end, I tried knitting all of them and picked the one closest to the body. There are ready-made ribs called 'arimono' (traditional ribs). Using those can make it cheaper, but somehow it's not 100% cotton or the color you want isn't available. So I knitted it. (It's expensive, though.)
