Description
At the end of winter, a soft light shines through the gaps in the leaden clouds, gently enveloping the cold earth.
I envisioned a quiet landscape that evokes the feeling of spring's arrival.
The base uses the reverse side of a jersey knit fabric, representing a dark and closed-off winter, while the line in the center of the garment represents light shining through a gap in the clouds.
By exposing the seams of the armholes, sleeves, and sides, the garment expresses the transition from winter to spring.
This yarn uses supple and smooth Supima extra-long staple cotton, with the fuzz removed by gas burning to create a beautiful, lustrous yarn.
This fabric is made by bundling together thin 80-count yarns to create a 12-gauge knit, resulting in a thin yet sturdy fabric.
To create a soft, relaxed look with dropped shoulders when worn, YASHIKI has incorporated a classic kimono pattern as an homage to this design.
The cuffs feature the brand's iconic [Yagasuri] pattern.

Length: 69.5 cm

The landscapes and culture of Ishikawa Prefecture, the designer's hometown, played a significant role in the design.
