This shirt jacket is designed based on the US Navy utility jacket from the 1940s. The material is an original herringbone that is woven at high density using a shuttle machine. It has a boxy silhouette with a roomy body width, and has been updated with tabs on the sides of the hem so that the silhouette can be adjusted. Like the original, the chest features a large gusseted flap pocket positioned slightly lower and has a two-layer structure that allows hands to be placed inside from the side.
