Upper: Cotton (canvas)
Hand-wrapped side tape
The rubber tape wrapped around the side of the sole is manually applied to the toe to create a height difference, The curved tail expresses a classic and sharp feel.
Flexible cutting sole
It features a cutting sole with excellent flexibility.
[Valcanized Method]
The deck shoes under the "Asahi" brand use a traditional manufacturing method called the Vulcanization method.
Its features are that although it requires more effort, the strength and elasticity of the rubber soles increase, resulting in superior durability. One of the appeals of this method is that it resists losing its shape and maintains a beautiful silhouette.

Asahi
Founded in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture in 1892, this shoe manufacturer has supported Japanese footwear culture for over 120 years.
With its own factory in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture, it has long thrived in rubber manufacturing, and has engaged in integrated production from rubber, which led to the current shoe manufacturing.
We continue to make shoes by leveraging the techniques cultivated over more than 120 years of history. Utilizing the production methods, techniques, and manufacturing methods of the time, we offer shoes suitable for both men and women, incorporating the last and traditional techniques of the 1970s.
