"unda" is a fusion of traditional Japanese sandals and cutting-edge technology, combining the elements of traditional Japanese sandals and sneakers.
The traditional Japanese sandal, the "setta," has been updated into modern footwear.
The midsole features an air unit. The footbed uses a high-rebound urethane sheet inside.
These shoes offer a feeling like walking on clouds.

Based on the standard "unda" model, the upper material has been changed.
While reproducing the feel of the classic model, the use of a uniquely developed fabric woven with 100% nylon threads improves abrasion resistance and durability.
As the name suggests, this is a "TOUGH" model.

CONCEPT
goyemon is a product design unit formed in 2018 by Ai Onishi and Kenta Takeuchi.
“We steal standard.” We will steal your common sense. The brand name is inspired by Ishikawa Goemon, the greatest thief in Japan. Another great thief, the third generation, also said, “Great art and thieves are alike. Both know how to steal people’s hearts.” Ishikawa Goemon used “kasugai” (a type of metal clamp) as a means to steal gold and silver treasures, but goyemon uses “design” to steal people’s hearts. Focusing on traditional Japanese culture, we started our activities with the desire to “let younger generations and people around the world know about Japanese traditions and attractive products.” By creating products that fuse “Japanese tradition x cutting edge technology,” we are developing products that fit into modern life and allow people to feel closer to tradition. We hope that we can be aきっかけ (trigger/opportunity) for you to experience Japanese culture.

A fusion of traditional Japanese techniques and cutting-edge modern technology. A completely new type of footwear that combines the features of traditional Japanese sandals (setta) and sneakers. The midsole has been adjusted to the optimal level of softness and hardness, and the addition of an air sole further reduces impact while walking.
Following the tradition of regularly switching the footwear to extend its lifespan, the design features a central thong, making it possible to wear the sandals on either foot.
While inheriting traditions passed down through generations in Japan, we elevate them into designs that are adapted to the modern climate, trends, and culture.
