"Shaggy Dog" is a Scottish Shetland wool knit that is extremely lightweight, soft, warm, and boasts a rich texture and classic feel. The surface of the knit is scratched with teasel to create a fluffy texture.
The name was given by Irving Press, the second-generation owner of J.PRESS, because the knitwear resembled the appearance of his dog at the time.
This sweater features a slightly relaxed silhouette, a classic crew neck, and saddle shoulder construction—a traditional feature of Shetland sweaters—and is knitted with 5G yarn.
While maintaining a classic style, the slightly larger sizing allows you to enjoy a modern look as well.
The product is a collaboration between J.PRESS and Yonefuji Textile Co., Ltd., a knitwear manufacturer founded in 1952 in Yamagata Prefecture and the producer of 'COOHEM', as part of J.PRESS ORIGINALS' heritage stock program, which evolves with Made in Japan technology.
