Introducing the new "Balise" shirt. This new design, whose name means "sign," features a silhouette that falls between workwear and dress wear.
The sizing, which allows it to be worn in any situation, will serve as a guideline and become a standard pattern for us going forward.
A completely new 100% nylon high-gauge knit. With a super high gauge of 36G, it creates a textured, pearlescent surface. Highly stretchy, it offers unparalleled comfort once worn, and is easy to care for with minimal wrinkles and shape changes during wear. A new standard material that only we could create, combining crispness, luster, and easy care. The material is incredibly cool and crisp. The details are inspired by dress shirts, with all seams finished with French seams and shell buttons. However, the sleeves are designed with a casual blouson feel. The crispness and luster of the material, the well-balanced silhouette, and the fusion of the fabric's dressy feel and pattern create a truly unique shirt. The new nylon material uses 100% 50D high-crimp nylon yarn. The textured material is specially washed and shrunk to create a more pronounced unevenness and crispness. Tumble drying is performed on the finished product, preventing shrinkage after washing. The brand logo is printed on the back of the buttons. This is the must-have material for this season. It will be the standard for spring and summer going forward.

The new shirt called “Balise.” Meaning “signpost,” this new style features a silhouette that bridges workwear and dresswear. Its versatile sizing, suitable for any occasion, will become our guiding principle and a future staple pattern. A completely new material: 100% nylon high-gauge knit. Using a super high-gauge 36G knit, we created a textured satin finish. It offers high stretch for an addictive feel once worn, minimal wrinkling and shape retention during wear, and excellent easy-care properties. This new standard material, unique to us, combines crispness, sheen, and easy care. It delivers an exceptionally cool feel and crisp texture. Details include dress shirt construction with all flat-felled seams and shell buttons. The sleeves, however, are crafted with a casual blouse vibe. This one-of-a-kind shirt fuses the fabric's crispness, sheen, and perfectly balanced silhouette with a dressy feel born from the material itself. The new nylon fabric uses 100% 50D high-crimp nylon yarn. The textured fabric undergoes a special wash and shrink process to enhance its depth and crispness. Tumble drying the finished product prevents shrinkage after washing. The brand logo is embroidered on the back of the buttons. This season's flagship material. The new standard for spring/summer. *Rolled Hem Stitching - To ensure a soft feel against the skin, the fabric edge is hidden by sewing over it twice: first with a single stitch, then covering it with a second stitch. *Due to the special fabric treatment, slight irregularities may occur. It took about two years to develop this material. When it was finally finished, I was so excited I wanted to pump my fist in the air. It's a synthetic fiber, but it has a unique touch. The yarn, knitting, and dyeing all came together perfectly to create this material. It's a material that can be worn all year round. The touch is incredible. It's crisp, but also has a substantial feel. It's especially essential for the extremely hot Japanese summer. You'll probably want to wear this every day. The meaning of the new "Balise" is "standard." The very first shirt we ever made was an American casual shirt. (Although we didn't mass-produce it...) It was a shirt with casual details such as a chest pocket, placket, and yoke. We pulled out that first sample again and created the new model. That's why we named it this, as it's the shirt that has become our standard. It has a large size, like a shirt jacket. The front pockets, and even within them, we've incorporated Kanemasa's techniques such as fine stitching and pattern matching so that it doesn't look too casual. I especially love the puckering in the seams and the washed-out look that comes with washing.


KANEMASA PHIL. is an original brand of a circular knitting manufacturer based in Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture, which originated from Kanemasa Knitwear Co., Ltd., founded in 1964. In order to preserve for the future the unique knitting machines specializing in high gauge, the jacquard machines that can freely express a variety of patterns, and the distinctive skills and craftsmanship of those who operate these machines independently, the KANEMASA brand was launched in the Spring/Summer 2021 season.
