WORKERS Lot 801 Straight Jeans

Lot 801 is what you call regular straight jeans. It's a bit rough, but that's exactly what jeans are really like. Denim made from American Appland cotton both vertically and horizontally. Simply put, when it comes to basic jeans, they think of denim woven with yarn made entirely from American cotton, but when they start making it, they can't find the standard 100% rice-cotton yarn! Then make it from thread! (You can make an incredible amount.) Appland cotton is an extremely basic type of cotton. These are imported to Japan, where the uneven yarn shape seen in vintage jeans is scanned to determine the yarn shape. This is also controlled so that the unevenness is not too strong. The finished thread is dyed with rope. Pure indigo dyeing without under-dyeing or post-dyeing. This time, the color features relatively little redness and a strong bluish tint. Furthermore, the weaving is a power loom with a rim. By weaving with low tension, it achieves a plump texture and prevents the natural character of the yarn and cotton from fading. The finished fabric is Kibata denim, which does not undergo shrink prevention processing or hair-drying to remove fuzz. A distinctive feature is that it shrinks and twists when washed. However, before shipping, we use a one-wash dryer to shrunk as much as possible before shipping. There are two patterns: Straight Lot 801 and Slim Tapered Lot 802. The hem width is about 10 cm from the hem, so even if you raise the hem up to about 30 inches in length, the width will not change. All sewing is cotton thread. The side split and the left and right sides of the body are combined with the so-called 'komata' (small mat), and the yoke and obi are made with thick-count threads. The cotton yarn is designed to provide strength, but this results in the uneven marks of the selvedge and the strong packing of the yoke. This time, when making the jeans from scratch, what I kept in mind was 'basic.' Cotton creates a classic atmosphere, so there are also methods such as blending non-rice cotton from Peru or India. Even with indigo dyeing, there are methods to create a different flavor from pure indigo through a base dye, but instead of doing those, we focused on rice cotton and pure indigo. As a result, the resulting color is strong blue, just as I imagined.
