Description
I imagined the autumn wind quietly passing through the rice fields, where only the stumps of harvested rice remained.
The sleeves and the center of the body feature waffle weave and the embossed patterns on the sides of the body represent a harvested rice stump, while the pattern running from the shoulders to the hem represents the autumn breeze blowing through.
Using a technique called plating knitting, where different yarns are knitted on the front and back sides, the colors of the yarns are changed on the front and back sides, By knitting in two colors, we have created a texture with depth.
To create a soft impression when worn, the shoulders drop and the kimono has become a staple at YASHIKI. The design is finished with an homage to the pattern.
The cuffs feature the brand's iconic [arrow kasuri] pattern.
