Description
The classic Baker Pants are now available in sulfur dye this season. It fades less than sulfurized leather and has a more pronounced finish than sulfurized leather. Baker of WORKERS created the prototype about 10 years ago by taking the measurements of each part of the unwashed MIL-T-838D product. However, after repeated revisions over the years, the feel of the prototype is slightly different from the original. Here we went back to basics and recreated the original silhouette. Specifically, it was traced from disassembled deadstock, MIL-T-838D. It has a thick hem, wide thighs, and a deep inseam. It has the silhouette of what is known as "military pants." We prepared a special loop sewing machine to make the extremely thin loops you often see on vintage military items and provided it to the factory. We also initially made and provided a sewing machine for the chain stitching on the back of the waistband, but then the factory bought a sewing machine... but then they stopped making them... There were some twists and turns, but the factory that sews the waistband now is used to it and is very good at it. They do have a very unique sewing style, though. Back satin is a fabric made by looking at the specifications of MIL-T-838D and MIL-C-10296J. "A coarse-grained back satin used by bakers." It is soft to the touch. The dye is sulfurized, which causes drastic color changes. The product has been washed. Button fly, MIL-838-D has 5 buttons, Slim Fit has 4 buttons. Also, the depth of the top is different, so the number of buttons is different accordingly. A bar fastener fastens a buttonhole-opening fly to the front facing. This is a feature seen in classic trousers. For some reason, this was also used for many years in military trousers. It's true that flapping fly is not good, as it seems like it could get caught on something. By the way, Levi's jeans have no facings, and in the distant past the fly was fastened by opening the body. However, later on, even the fastening was no longer there. This is where I feel that the difference in the evolution between jeans and trousers comes into play. There is a hidden stitch just below the top buttonhole that cannot be seen from the outside. This is a stitch that prevents fingers from getting in there because the fabric inside the top buttonhole is cut in an invisible part. The original is basically, -It is made from four pieces of fabric: the body, facing, outer placket, and inner placket, and the top and front edges are folded in, making it very thick. I added feet to the top button to match the thickness, but the fabric was still too stiff and uncomfortable to wear. Therefore, the fabric for the inner facing/front placket has been removed, and since your fingers would touch the raw edges of the fabric if left as is, a hidden finishing stitch has been added. I'm really proud of this design because I came up with it myself without even looking at old clothes, sewing the pieces together. Everyone, please try this. I would be happy if, after I die, someone looks at this specification and thinks, "This way the hall won't get too stiff. Whoever came up with this was great."
