However, later on, even the fastening was no longer there. This is where I feel that the difference in the evolution between jeans and trousers comes into play. There is a hidden stitch just below the top buttonhole that cannot be seen from the outside. This is a stitch that prevents fingers from getting in there because the fabric inside the top buttonhole is cut in an invisible part. The original is basically, -It is made from four pieces of fabric: the body, facing, outer placket, and inner placket, and the top and front edges are folded in, making it very thick. I added feet to the top button to match the thickness, but the fabric was still too stiff and uncomfortable to wear.
