A modified model based on SANSUI, the brand's signature model. The SANSUI front thickness was scaled up from 5mm to an extra-thick 8mm. This Boston-type frame is slightly larger than the signature model NOCHINO. Compared to regular frames, the added thickness suppresses stray light from oblique angles and creates a glamorous transparency and unique sense of luxury inherent in plastic materials. While possessing an overwhelming presence, the inner surface of the front is hand-chiseled to create depth and contrast.It also serves to cover the thickness when prescription lenses are installed. This is a mid-sized unisex Asian-fit Boston-type frame that retains the original design of all its components while adding a three-dimensional feel. The fit is designed to accommodate the low nose bridge, a common feature among Asians, making it suitable for a wide range of people. It features nose pads (adjustable metal parts) that significantly affect wearing comfort. The design incorporates the skills of seasoned craftsmen.The nose pads, which are in close contact with the skin for almost an entire day of activity, are made of high-quality, allergy-free titanium. The rivets that connect the hinges are polished to a high shine using a "togidashi" (polishing out) finishing method, where skilled craftsmen meticulously polish each frame to the very end after the rivets are embedded in the plastic. The 2-curve lenses, symbolic of the NOCHINO OPTICAL brand, are neither flat nor a common curve type, but instead possess a beautiful curvature that evokes the hand-ground glass lenses of old, exuding a luxurious feel with their radiant surface. Furthermore, there are 4 versions of photochromic lenses available, which change color under UV light, one of the brand's iconic features. The biggest appeal is the unique lens version that changes from clear to colored, and the one that changes from a lightly tinted light gray-green to gray.
