Description
This is an improved model based on the brand's signature model, SANSUI. The front thickness of the SANSUI has been scaled up from 5mm to an extra-thick 8mm. It is a Boston-style frame that is slightly larger than the signature model NOCHINO.
By making it thicker than usual, it suppresses stray light from oblique angles and brings out the glamorous transparency and unique sense of luxury that the plastic material possesses. While giving it an overwhelming presence, the inside of the front is treated with a hand-finished process called "hatsuri" to create a sense of depth. It also serves to compensate for the thickness when prescription lenses are fitted.
While retaining the original design of all the components, this mid-size, unisex, Asian-fit Boston-style frame features a three-dimensional design.
The fit is designed to suit the majority of people, taking into account the low nose bridge characteristic of Asians.
These glasses feature adjustable nose pads (metal parts that allow for nose adjustment), which greatly affect the fit and comfort. The design incorporates the skills of expert craftsmen.
The nose pads, which are in close contact with the skin for almost the entire day, are made of high-quality, allergy-free titanium.
The rivet parts that connect the hinges are polished using a finishing method called "grinding" after being placed in plastic, and each one is carefully polished to the very end by skilled craftsmen.
The 2-curve lenses, a signature feature of the NOCHINO OPTICAL brand, are neither flat nor typical curved types, but feature a beautiful curved surface reminiscent of old hand-carved glass lenses, and their gleaming surface gives them a luxurious feel.
Additionally, the brand's iconic photochromic lenses, which change color under UV light, are available in four different versions.
The biggest appeal lies in the two types: one that changes color from clear, and another unique lens version that changes from a light gray-green to gray with a subtle color tint.

Because these items are handmade by craftsmen in Sabae, there may be slight variations between individual pieces.
Please be aware that due to the handmade nature of the product, there may be slight imperfections or distortions upon arrival.
If you notice any distortion or other issues, please take them to your nearest optician or consult with our Minami-Aoyama main store.
Photochromic lenses generally have a lifespan of about three years, although this can vary depending on usage frequency and environment.
Please be aware that the performance may deteriorate with frequent use under UV light, or use and storage in high-temperature environments (such as saunas, baths, or inside cars).
Generally, NOCHINO's photochromic lenses are ordered in batches exclusively for our own products each season, but there may be very slight differences in photochromic performance due to differences in seasonal batches.
* Due to the nature of the product, we do not accept returns or exchanges except in cases of product defects.
Please note that we cannot accept returns or cancellations after an order has been placed.
Not a full moon, but the one before a full moon.
The Japanese people consider the moon just before its fullness to be the ideal.
The beauty of incompleteness, the beauty of unfinishedness, the beauty of negative space.
It is through the 13th month, the subsequent lack of months, that we see the emergence of things that cannot be expressed in terms of completeness or satisfaction.
By considering how to make what is lacking beautiful,
It evokes a sense of satisfying beauty in people.
Like the thirteenth moon, or the later moon, eyeglasses are incomplete once they leave the craftsman's hands.
We offer our products as the 13th month.
In the Heian period, when The Tale of Genji was created, people were sensitive to the seasons and wore colors that were "appropriate for the season."
Incorporating it into daily life was a pastime of the nobility.
Enjoy the pleasure of wearing colors appropriate for the season in the modern age.
Each piece is completed only when it is anastomosed with its unique owner, a testament to the craftsmanship of Fukui and Sabae.
