ASAHI DECK, a long-established shoe manufacturer that started in 2017, produces deck shoes that use the beautiful shape of the original lasts made in the 1980s, based on American-made deck shoes from the 1970s. All manufacturing is done by skilled craftsmen in Japan. These shoes are made using a vulcanized process, rare even in Japan, which significantly increases the strength and elasticity of the shoe's upper and sole. The outsole features wavy grooves that prevent slipping even on wet floors, creating a comfortable fit that clings to your feet with every step. The design, created by skilled craftsmen, creates a slim, beautiful silhouette. Enjoy the superior fit and comfortable feel that sets these shoes apart from traditional sneakers. COLOR:WHITE GRAY Domestically produced deck shoes (shoelaces model) Hand-wrapped side tape The rubber tape wrapped around the side of the sole is manually adjusted to create a difference in width and height from the toe. The elegant curves give it a classic and sharp feel. Flexible cutting sole It uses a cutting sole with good flexibility. With its clean silhouette and minimalist design, it is perfect for a wide range of occasions, from going out to everyday wear. It goes well with denim, and we also recommend pairing it with a skirt or dress for a casual look. Vulcanized construction Asahi brand deck shoes are made using the traditional vulcanization method. The advantage of this manufacturing method is that it requires more time and effort, but it also makes the rubber sole stronger and more resilient, resulting in excellent durability. Another attractive feature of this manufacturing method is that it helps the shoes retain their shape and maintain a beautiful silhouette. Currently, only a few companies, including Asahi, can realize this manufacturing method in Japan. Each pair of shoes is carefully produced using rare techniques.
