Painter pants reconstructed as WIDE FIT based on the 1930s PAINTER PANTS.
The 9oz denim, woven with gray warp yarn and 2×1 (two by one), faithfully recreates the workwear of that era.
Inspired by work pants worn for a long time by American farmers, with family members mending torn parts and continuing to use them, the design expresses traces of this through hand stitching and overlapping fabrics,
Since every step is done by hand, the stitching, fabric layering, and appearance vary from piece to piece.
