Description
Sneakers produced by Moonstar, a long-established shoe manufacturer founded in Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture in 1873.
The Valcanize method, which can only be produced in a very small number of factories in Japan, involves firing the final step in a "kiln."
The name comes from the similarity of this production process to ceramics.
The power loom was invented in late 18th-century England and is said to have triggered the Industrial Revolution.
This original canvas, woven with a traditional machine where the shuttle moves back and forth from left to right to insert the weft yarns, has a fluffy texture that seems to contain more air.
It continues to be woven at workshops in the Chikugo region of Fukuoka Prefecture.
Care Instructions
Remove the shoelaces when washing. Soak in lukewarm water with a powdered detergent (neutral detergent) for about 30 minutes. For darkened upper fabrics, rub soap and rub with a brush to create foam. At this time, use gentle pressure to avoid damaging the fabric. Dirt on the rubber part of the sole can be effectively removed by scrubbing with a melamine sponge. Next, rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water until the bubbles disappear, then stuff a towel inside the sneakers to prevent losing its shape and spin in the washing machine for about 10~30 seconds. After that, it is recommended to air dry in a well-ventilated area or in the shade as soon as possible.
