MITTAN 薄手刺し子織ジャケット JK-86 柿渋*墨

This original fabric uses organic cotton for the warp threads, with ramie and hemp woven into the weft threads on both the front and back, and bonded with thick silk threads to create a sashiko pattern.
The surface is made of organic cotton mixed with the sheen of rummy for a light impression, while the underside feels refreshing from hemp and the soft feel of cotton on the skin.
Sashiko originally originates from the Japanese handcraft of layering and sewing old fabrics for reinforcement and insulation.
Rather than mimicking the irregularities of handmade work with machines, this fabric utilizes the orderly structure unique to machine weaving, designing unique patterns that evoke rhythm within order.
With a slightly relaxed silhouette, this jacket is easy to layer over coats and other items.
It features a flat pattern design with most parts composed of straight lines.
Utilizing the characteristics of the fabric, we add a switch to the body, and the direction of the sashiko pattern changes depending on the part.
For convenience as a tool, the pocket is positioned near the side seam.
The piping tape on the back uses organic cotton, and the buttons use palm wood carved from white cotton.

*Due to the nature of the fabric, surface threads may catch on the surface. Please be careful when wearing as friction with your nails, bag, or accessories can easily cause snagging.
Since silk thread is used, please use a pressing cloth when ironing and avoid using it at high temperatures.
*Depending on the washing process after sewing, each piece's color and size may vary slightly.
(White) *Dyed in dark colors. To avoid color transfer, please avoid combining with light colors.
To prevent color fading, use a detergent for dry marks and dry in the shade.
