Description

ABOUT THE DESIGN:
ブランド名CCUの由来である馬をモチーフにしています。
特に、シルバー925製のホースシュー（馬蹄）モチーフのバックルは、
一つひとつ丁寧に作られました。通常よりも小ぶりなパーツを使うことで、
控えめながらも上品なデザインに仕上がっています。

The design is inspired by the horse, which is the origin of the brand name CCU. In particular, the sterling silver (925) horseshoe-motif buckle is meticulously crafted by hand. By using smaller-than-usual parts, the design achieves a modest yet elegant finish.

COW SKIN ABOUT LEATHER:
アニリン仕上げのカウレザーを使用して、カバンの形がきちんと出るように適切な厚さの革を選びました。
重量は軽く仕上げましたが、その中でもカバンがしっかりとしたフォルムを保ちます。
革本来の自然な風合いが特徴で、使用するたびに柔らかく経年変化していくのが魅力です。

We selected leather with an appropriate thickness to ensure the bag maintains its shape, using aniline-finished cowhide. While the weight is kept light, the bag retains a sturdy form. The leather features a natural texture, and its appeal lies in the fact that it softens and ages beautifully with each use.

CCU(シーシーユー)というブランド名は ”チャグチャグ馬コ” というお祭りに由来する。
チャグチャグ馬コは、岩手の南部曲がり家に代表される「愛馬精神」から生まれ、まだ馬が農作業に使われていた頃、農繁期の中で唯一の休息日として設けられた行事が発祥となる。
CCUはその愛馬精神に敬意を込め、使う度に愛着が湧き、普遍的なプロダクトを目指。
「LEATHER-COMFORTALE-PRODUCT」をコンセプトに、従来のレザーの硬さや着にくさなどのイメージを払拭するような柔らかなレザーの素材選びや人体とレザーの間の余白を⼤事にしたパターンメイキングを行う。
アイテムではシャツを中心に展開し、日常に馴染むようなレザーアイテムがラインナップ。

The brand name CCU originates from the festival called 'Chagu Chagu Umako,' a traditional event in Iwate where horses adorned in elaborate harnesses proceed ceremoniously. Chagu Chagu Umako began about 200 years ago as a celebration to honor horses, allowing farmers to give their horses a day off after the rigors of rice-planting and to pray for their health at the shrine. CCU aims to create versatile products that honor this spirit of equine love, designed to deepen the bond with horses with every use. Under the concept of 'LEATHER-COMFORTABLE-PRODUCT,' the company selects soft leather materials that defy the conventional perception of leather as stiff and uncomfortable. Our approach includes meticulous patternmaking that considers the space between the human body and the leather.
