ABOUT THE DESIGN:
Inspired by the brand's origin (horse), this original pinless buckle is made with the stirrups (stirrups) of horse gear as a motif.
It adopts a 'frico (pendulum)' structure without pins (fasteners), allowing you to freely fix the belt at any position and fine-tune it down to the millimeter to suit your body shape and style.
Since there is no need to drill pin holes, it puts less strain on the leather and helps maintain its beautiful condition for a long time.
This design combines functionality with the aesthetic beauty of metal parts.

We have created an original pinless buckle designed with a "stirrup" (Abumi) motif, inspired by the horse, which is the origin of our brand name. It uses a "friction" (pendulum) mechanism without a pin, allowing the belt to be fastened at any position. This enables precise, millimeter-level adjustments to perfectly suit your body shape or outfit. Since no pinholes are required, there is minimal stress on the leather, helping to maintain its beautiful condition for a longer time. This design combines practical functionality with the aesthetic beauty of a crafted metal part.

ABOUT LEATHER:
We use 'Ingrasat' from M.P.G, a historic tanner in Tuscany, Italy.
Carefully selected cowhide (shoulder strap) is carefully tanned with vegetable tannins such as quebracho and mimosa, then finished with aniline (dye) to create a translucent appearance.
Its greatest features are the finely crafted silver finish and its firm firmness and resilience.
It has a matte and calm texture, but the more you use it, the deeper the unique sheen of tanning develops, allowing you to enjoy dramatic aging over time.
This leather exudes elegance and beauty, with a beautiful finish down to the edge (cross-section of the leather).

Material: INGRASSATO (Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather) We use "Ingrassato," produced by M.P.G., a historic tannery in Tuscany, Italy. Selected cowhide (shoulder) is slowly tanned using vegetable tannins such as quebracho and mimosa, then finished with aniline dye to create a transparent and natural appearance. Its most distinctive features are the finely textured, uniform grain and its firm, resilient body. While it has a matte and calm texture initially, with use, it develops the deep patina and gloss characteristic of vegetable-tanned leather, offering a dramatic aging process. It is a dignified material that ensures even the edges (cross-sections) finish beautifully.

Chagu Chagu Umako originated from the 'horse love spirit' represented by the southern babbling families of Iwate, and back when horses were still used for farm work, The event originated from the only rest day established during the busy farming season.
CCU pays tribute to this horse spirit, making it a timeless product that grows with every use.
