Description

1900年代～1910年代頃と思われるエルカス社の「BIG BOB」というブランドのカバーオールジャケットです。
環縫い(チェーンステッチ)は使用されず、全て本縫い(シングルステッチ)で縫製されています。
左右非対称のポケットや大きく弧を描いた袖の縫製は、当時としては高度な技術を要する作りです。
元は「BOSS OF THE ROAD」で知られるサンフランシスコのノイシュタッター・ブラザーズ社が、「BIG BOB」ブランドを展開するエルカス社のために製造したものとなります。

This is a coveralls jacket from the brand 'BIG BOB' by Elkas, which is believed to date to the 1900s~1910s.
No chain stitching is used; everything is sewn with a full stitch (single stitch).
The asymmetrical pockets and the large curved sleeves required advanced craftsmanship for the time.
Originally manufactured by San Francisco-based Neustadter Brothers, known for "BOSS OF THE ROAD," for Elkas, the company that operates the "BIG BOB" brand.
