【SETA / SELVAGGIO】
This leather is used for items with 10-digit product numbers that begin with the letter "S," such as SGW0034DN. SETA means "silk" in Italian, and it has a smooth, silky feel and the elegance characteristic of imported leather. It is tanned using a metal-free tanning method with a metal content of less than 1 part per million. (Even with vegetable tanning, it is said that some metal fibers adhere to the leather during the tanning process, so this leather is more environmentally friendly.) Like Selvaggio, this leather will become more lustrous and beautiful with use. SELVAGGIO The tanner has a deep memory of his grandfather sitting in an armchair when he was a child, and of him telling him all sorts of stories. This Selvaggio leather was created as an homage to that beautiful memory. It is made using the traditional vegetable tanning method called the vachetta method, where the leather is slowly tanned over time, and the oil is impregnated into the leather by hand. A key feature of this leather is that it is washed after dyeing, giving it a unique vintage look. The more you use it, the more lustrous it becomes and the deeper the color. Both SETA and SELVAGGIO leathers are made by Bretagna, a tannery located in San Miniato, Tuscany, Italy. Only the shoulder portion of the cow is used, and this is a precious leather as not much leather can be obtained from the shoulder of a single cow.
Note: *This product utilizes the natural texture of the material, and may have uneven wrinkles, variations in color, and surface spots inherent to the leather.
*Please note that due to the use of natural materials, there may be slight variations in size and weight.
*If the item gets wet from rain or other sources, gently blot away the moisture with a soft cloth and air dry in the shade. Also, please be careful to avoid friction with clothing.
*Please avoid using waterproofing spray as it may cause stains.
*Regarding maintenance: When storing, we recommend applying oil to the entire surface once and placing it in a well-ventilated area. Otherwise, maintenance is generally not necessary as the leather is already sufficiently oiled. If you feel it is drying out, applying leather oil will restore its shine.
*Regarding color transfer: As a preventative measure, we recommend wiping the surface with a towel before using the product. However, because natural tannins are used, some color fading or change due to water exposure or friction is unavoidable. Please be especially careful of friction with clothing and color transfer when the product gets wet, such as in the rain.
*Please note that the actual colors may differ slightly depending on your PC monitor or smartphone model.
