RAW DENIM
Selvedge denim is characterized by its unique texture, slowly and carefully woven at a weaving shop in Okayama Prefecture. After weaving, we use raw denim that undergoes no finishing treatment, including water washing or shrink-pre-shrinking.
Because old-fashioned looms are used, production efficiency is extremely low, and only a few meters can be woven per hour.
However, thanks to this meticulous manufacturing method, the fabric achieves a unique texture that combines crispness and fullness, without applying excessive tension to the warp threads.
We use carefully selected cotton to carefully consider the texture and length of the fibers. Furthermore, to achieve a crisp texture, we pay close attention to the number of twists and the shape down to the smallest detail.
