Description

This item uses fabric that was previously discontinued but has been re-produced specifically for this project. The warp and weft are made from a domestically spun blend of two types of linen and ramie, creating a crisp, moderately thick fabric. The ramie blend also reduces the characteristic flaxiness of flax. Repeated wear will result in a texture reminiscent of antique fabric. For a detailed explanation of the differences between flax, ramie, and hemp, please refer to Boken's article. The fabric is heavy, so belt loops are included to support its own weight. However, the elastic waistband and organic cotton drawstring on the inside allow for beltless wear. The pattern is based on PT-69, with a straight silhouette, wider hem, and slightly larger back pockets. Adjustable inner lining allows for year-round wear. Note: The natural material may have knots and unevenness in the yarn. We place great importance on texture, and use raw materials with uneven fiber lengths. Please consider this as part of the design. Please be careful not to pull on knots in the threads too hard, as this may cause the threads to break or create holes.
