The story begins with the changing of the seasons. At the end of winter, the rain that fell for several days stops, and along with the smell of earth, the spring market opens, run by the newly-grown merchants known as "Kafu-sho" (flower wind merchants). They have traveled extensively to reach adulthood, and they transport the new spring and summer items (flowers, seeds, seashells, etc.) they have acquired through their travels to towns that are about to welcome spring and summer, in balloon carts. That is why they are called Kafu-sho. Among them are the spring merchant "Kochi" (east wind) and the summer merchant "Hae" (south wind).
This time, we'll be talking about a lively market, which also features a brother who shares this story.

The brand name ASEEDONCLÖUD is
It comes from the title of the first picture book I created as a child ("The Seed That Roamed the Cloud").
While preserving the beauty of old work clothes seen in photographs from the late 19th to early 20th centuries, the designs incorporate wit and humor into the identity behind that beauty.
The materials used are based on natural materials, sometimes incorporating elements from different eras, and sometimes recreating items from antiques.
Our concept is to draw inspiration from the lifestyles of various professions each season, incorporating the essence of those lives as a spice into our designs.

Kentaro Tamai graduated from the Menswear Department of Central Martins Art School.
After working as an assistant designer for Margaret Howell UK in London, I returned to Japan.
WrittenAfterwards Co., Ltd. was established in April 2007.
September 2008: First participation in Tokyo Collection.
In April 2009, I ceased activities with WrittenAfterwards and started my own independent design work.
