Description

This series draws inspiration from vintage denim, such as that featured in John Steinbeck's masterpiece "The Grapes of Wrath," and adds Porter Classic's unique interpretation.
These denim pants feature workwear-inspired painter pant details and a vintage feel. The warp threads, made from randomly selected long slub yarns with varying thickness, give them a rough, deep look characteristic of vintage denim.
The natural unevenness created by the short pitch is appealing, and the functionality and appearance of workwear, such as the hammer loop, make it seem like the main character of the story.

STEINBECK DENIM
This is a 12oz denim fabric made with long slub warp threads, which have become difficult to produce recently.
This slub yarn, born in an era when spinning technology was still immature, has a rustic charm. We have carefully reproduced its unique look in this PC original design. The slightly loosely woven fabric becomes softer with wear, as the yarn loses its stiffness.
The uneven, vertical fading slowly emerges. This fabric allows you to fully enjoy the unique aging process that only denim can offer.

Porter Classic was founded in 2007.
It all started with antique Japanese fabrics I found at a flea market overseas.
Katsuyuki Yoshida left Yoshida Co., Ltd., and his son, Reo Yoshida, established the company.
Since its inception, the company has consistently adhered to the "Made in Japan" philosophy and, based on the concept of "world-class standards," has continued to pursue products that will be loved by future generations and even grandchildren, drawing on tradition, antitheses, art, culture, and craftsmanship.
