CCU HUNTING VEST SHEEP SKIN

ABOUT THE DESIGN:
Based on a hunting jacket, this vest has been redesigned with refined functional elements.
By eliminating many of the original functional pockets and retaining only a few of the iconic pockets of a hunting jacket, an extremely simple design was pursued.
This resulted in a vest that maintains essential functionality while being easy to match with any style, making it a versatile piece that suits any taste.

We've reinterpreted the hunting jacket, refining its functional elements into a sophisticated vest. By eliminating most of the original's many practical pockets and retaining only a few iconic hunting jacket details, we achieved an exceptionally minimalist design.

SHEEP SKIN ABOUT LEATHER:
We used thin sheepskin leather from England, with a thickness of only 0.6mm.
This thinness results in a lightweight and flexible fit.
Furthermore, the leather surface has been treated with a nappa finish.
This special processing creates a matte texture, giving it a modern and urban feel.
Nappa processing also has the effect of reducing the shine of the leather and bringing out the original texture of the material.

We've used British sheep leather with an incredibly thin profile, measuring just 0.6mm in thickness.
This exceptional thinness results in a lightweight and supplement feel when worn. Furthermore, the leather's surface has been treated with a Nappalan finish.
This special process creates a matte texture, lending a modern and urban feel.
The Nappalan finish also helps to suppress the leather's natural sheen, enhancing the material's inherent character.

The brand name CCU (pronounced "see see you") originates from the festival called "Chagu Chagu Umako".
The Chagu Chagu Umakko festival originated from the "love of horses" exemplified by the Nanbu Magariya houses of Iwate Prefecture, and began as a festival held as the only day of rest during the busy farming season when horses were still used for agricultural work.
CCU pays homage to that spirit of loving one's horse, aiming to create a timeless product that grows more endearing with each use.
Based on the concept of "LEATHER-COMFORTALE-PRODUCT," the brand uses soft leather materials to dispel the conventional image of leather as being stiff and difficult to wear, and employs pattern making that emphasizes the space between the human body and the leather.
The collection primarily features shirts, along with a lineup of leather items designed to blend seamlessly into everyday life.

The brand name CCU originates from the festival called 'Chagu Chagu Umako,' a traditional event in Iwate where horses adorned in elaborate harnesses proceed ceremoniously. Chagu Chagu Umako began about 200 years ago as a celebration to honor horses, allowing farmers to give their horses a day off after the rigors of rice-planting and to pray for their health at the shrine. CCU aims to create versatile products that honor this spirit of equine love, designed to deepen the bond with horses with every use. Under the concept of 'LEATHER-COMFORTABLE-PRODUCT,' the company selects soft leather materials that defy the perception of leather as stiff and uncomfortable. Our approach includes meticulous patternmaking that considers the space between the human body and the leather. We offer a conventional lineup of leather items designed to seamlessly integrate into your daily life.
