The main body uses the finest calf leather from DEGERMANN (now HAAS), France's oldest tannery. They continue to supply materials to world-renowned fashion houses while maintaining their unique manufacturing methods.
This wallet is made from slightly firm calf leather with an embossed (stamped) finish. It features subtle variations in color, giving it a rich and expressive look. The luxurious feel is something that cannot be achieved with cheaper leather. Embossed leather is also durable and less prone to showing scratches, which is a great advantage. Therefore, even though wallets tend to show minor scratches with use, this one will remain relatively clean and beautiful for a long time.
The die-cast metal fittings are lightweight yet strong, and finished in a matte silver color. The process of cutting the leather and fitting it into the original clasp requires skill, and each piece is finished by Japanese craftsmen who adjust it down to the millimeter.
