The official name is "TROUSERS, MEN'S, COTTON, SATEEN", commonly known as "baker pants". Pattern dismantled, traced to the original MIL-T-838D (1958). Hem width 24 cm. A loose silhouette with wide ties and a deep rise. In summer, the wind blows through, and in winter, I wear leggings inside so that I don't feel cramped. The fabric and back satin are "coarse back satin used for bakers" made with reference to MIL-T-838D and MIL-C-10296J (fabric specifications). It is supple to the touch. In the early days, it was dyed with sulfur, and now it is dyed with slene. Early sulfide dyes are obsolete. Even if the type of sulfide dye is changed, the next step is the dyeing process "mercerized" (the process of flattening the surface with alkali) ~ there will be no factory that can do sulfur dyeing in an integrated manner. "Mercerized" ~ "dyeing" at a separate factory is not realistic for cost and quality stability. So I changed to "Suren dyeing". If it is Suren, there is also an integrated factory of Marse ~ dyeing. The characteristic of slene is that the color fading is less than that of sulfide. However, the rubbed part is "bleaching". As you can see from the winding stitching on the back, it is a flashy change with a sharp effect. Sulfide turns the whole thing whitish, and in the end, the whole thing is almost the same color, but the difference between the rubbed and unrubbed parts is severe. Poplin is about 6.2 ounces, while back satin is about 10 ounces. In the summer, I wore a jungle fatigue, mowed the grass, and said, "Wouldn't it be perfect for midsummer if I made a baker with this thickness of poplin?" However, the thickness of the fabric is different from the back satin, and it cannot be sewn well with the same sewing method. The back of the waist is made from a chain to a single stitch and fine-tuned. The product is OW ready.
