From "intch." The regular color shirt "Lye," made from plain woven wool from "Omi Sarashi," has arrived.
Distinctive details such as the yoke under the yoke and gathered cuffs that emphasize the shrink feel of the fabric, the half-winged tailoring that hides only two buttons from the bottom, and the square-cut hem with a slit extended only 3cm at the back, are all incorporated into the overall design as a simple regular collar shirt that fits any style.
Plain weave shrink wool made from Omi Kamifu, a fabric production area overlooking Lake Biwa in Shiga Prefecture.
This dough undergoes a process called 'Omi Sarashi,' where ash is poured over and sun-dried, then simmered and dried again in the ash, resulting in a unique wrinkle and softness that takes several decades to complete.
Originally, this process is a pre-dyeing process to make it easier to insert dye, but "Lye" retains this unique texture in its products.
Also, since the fabric is heavily washed during the fabric, shrinkage is minimal and it can be washed at home.
The buttons are made from natural shells: the NAVY uses takase oysters with a beautiful sheen, while the BLACK models use buttons carved from the deep-colored black mother-of-pearl.
We sew with 24 stitches and 60 count thread.
While high-end dress shirts typically have about 18 stitches per 3cm, this one features 24 stitches for finer stitching.
It is difficult to tailor shirts on thin wool fabric, and the finer the stitching, the more delicate the technique required, limiting the number of sewing machines that can handle it.
To achieve these specifications, the shirts are sewn at one of Japan's top specialized shirt factories in Nagasaki, equipped with skilled artisans and specialized equipment.
Not only are they highly skilled, but they also change sewing methods based on extensive sewing data from the past, depending on the fabric and design, making it a top-tier factory that symbolizes Japan's advanced technical skill.
It offers skilled and reliable skills, sensibility, and sewing equipment unique to this place.
On the other hand, they do not actively promote their products and only accept jobs through referrals from trustworthy business partners, producing only a limited number of brands.
