Description

With a super high gauge of 46G, it achieves a high-density plain weave structure, similar to typewriter fabric.
It offers high stretchability, providing an irresistible comfort once you put it on, and it's also easy to care for, with minimal wrinkles and changes in shape during wear.
A new standard material that only we can create, possessing firmness, luster, and easy care.
Starting this season, we've changed the raw material for the cotton yarn, updating it to use a finer 160/2 double-ply yarn.
By using gas-fired yarn, we've achieved a more lustrous finish and reduced pilling after washing.
This padded outerwear is luxuriously crafted using the same material on both sides.
The lightweight, high-density knit fabric is beautifully sewn at one of Japan's leading outerwear factories.
This outerwear uses that material on both sides. The padding is lightweight, has heat-regulating properties, and is made with just the right thickness for comfortable wear.
Because the garment is made to take advantage of the fabric's drape, it features a rounded shape that conforms to the body and a lightweight feel.
This outerwear is so warm it feels like you're wearing a blanket.
This MA-1-inspired item features generously sized panels. The ribbed fabric creates a comfortable and flattering silhouette.
The puckering on the sleeves has also been reproduced, making this an outer garment interpreted in a KANEMASA style.

English Description
Achieving a super-high gauge of 46G, this fabric realizes the high-density plain weave structure known as “typewriter.” It offers exceptional stretch and an irresistibly comfortable feel once worn, with minimal wrinkling and shape changes during wear, plus high easy-care properties. A new standard material only we can create, combining crispness, luster, and easy care. This season, we've upgraded by changing the cotton yarn base to a finer 160/2 two-ply yarn. Using gas-burnished yarn further enhances the sheen and reduces pilling after washing. This outerwear features that fabric luxuriously used on both sides. Crafted at one of Japan's premier outerwear factories, the thin, high-density knit is beautifully sewn. An outerwear piece using that fabric on both sides. The lightweight, heat-regulating insulation is filled to a comfortable thickness for easy wear. Designed to highlight the fabric's drape, it features a body-hugging silhouette and light feel. This outerwear offers warmth akin to wearing a quilt. A MA-1-inspired piece with generously cut parts. The rib tension creates a flattering silhouette. It also recreates the sleeve puckering, resulting in an outerwear piece interpreted in the KANEMASA style.

point
An outer garment made from classic shirt fabric.
It's really warm.
You'll understand how incredibly comfortable it is, almost like wearing a blanket, once you try it on.
This outerwear sells out immediately every season it's released.
We adjust the amount of padding each season.
It has a generally warm feel to it.
It's thinner, yet provides just the right amount of warmth, and has a moderate thickness that allows you to layer clothes underneath.
The warmth is certainly due to the functional insulation, but I think it's also because of the inherent strength of the high-gauge knit material.
The tight weave provides both windproof and water-repellent properties.
Above all, the material conforms to the body, creating a distinctive silhouette that resembles being wrapped in a blanket.
Furthermore, the high gauge knit of this material provides water repellency.
It will repel light rain, so please don't worry.
We've updated the MA-1 jacket in a way that showcases the quality of the materials, in true KANEMASA PHIL. style.
The puckering on the sleeves and other details are reproduced through the quality of the material. The deliberately chosen two-tone collar gives this garment a unique and distinctive feel.

Brand Concept
KANEMASA PHIL. is an original brand of a circular knitwear manufacturer based in Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture, which originated from Kanemasa Knitwear Co., Ltd., founded in 1964.
To ensure the continuation of our unique knitting machines specializing in high gauge knitting, our jacquard machines capable of freely expressing a variety of patterns, and the distinctive skills and craftsmanship required to operate these machines with ease, our own brand KANEMASA was launched in the Spring/Summer 2021 season. *From the Autumn/Winter 2023 season, coinciding with our overseas launch, the brand name will be changed to "KANEMSA PHIL."
The brand's iconic logo was designed by Clement Johant, and the resulting design blends the historical context of the 1960s, when the company was founded, with European culture.
Based on the concept of "FUTURE CLASSIC / FUTURE VINTAGE," we create clothing for the future as we envision it today. We consider the future and offer a wardrobe that makes the wearer feel comfortable, happy, and joyful.
KANEMASA PHIL. products, which reflect the innovation, creativity, craftsmanship, and tradition we have cultivated and built up over the years, are made without compromise, from materials to design.
PHIL. is derived from the ancient Greek word φίλος (phílos, "beloved"), and is an abbreviation of derived words such as Philosophy ("philosophy," "love of wisdom and knowledge"), philharmony ("love of harmony"), and phile ("lover").
Based on the philosophy of "looking back at history and creating the future," we chose our brand name with the desire to share our products with the world.
