The Type 2 denim jacket is said to have originated in the 1950s.
This jacket, commonly known as the "2nd type," retains the distinctive front pleats of the TYPE 1 while altering details such as pockets and silhouette, elevating it from a workwear image to a Western wear or fashion item. Produced in the 1950s, it gained further popularity as a fashion item when worn by actors and musicians active at the time.
The belt on the back has also been removed, and an adjuster has been added to the hem belt.
The pleats on the front, a remnant of the TYPE1, remain, and there are now two front pockets.
orslow's 50's denim jacket is produced using original selvedge denim, carefully selected and crafted from the yarn stage.
The 13.5-ounce selvedge denim fabric is an original Orslow denim created by actually disassembling vintage denim and meticulously studying details such as the number of threads woven and the shape of unevenness, which are not immediately apparent, using microscopes and magnifying glasses.

The material, woven with yarn that has a natural unevenness reminiscent of 1950s denim, will change over time with repeated wear and washing, becoming a garment you'll grow to love.
The biggest difference from the 1st model, which retained the front pleat design, is the two flap pockets located on the front.
In addition, pleats have been added to the left and right sides of the back yoke to create a three-dimensional shape and allow for easier movement, and the cinch back that was previously located on the back has been replaced with button-type adjustment belts on both sides.
From the vintage-style paper patch on the back of the collar to the selvedge on the inside of the placket, you can feel the attention to detail not only in the shape, stitching, and fabric, but also in the finer points.
Additionally, sizes 3 (L) and above feature a seam design under the armpits.
This denim jacket features a shorter length and a wide, boxy silhouette that offers excellent balance, crafted from fabric that reflects orSlow's commitment to quality. While utilizing time-honored techniques, it's a masterpiece that's easy to wear as modern everyday clothing, becoming a new basic in its own right.
The 2YEAR WASH finish features a light blue color that has been aged to give it a vintage look, resulting in an exceptional finish.
