European linen, which combines a beautiful finish with the unique ruggedness of linen, is sourced and woven into jacquard fabric at a factory in Enshu.
This is a distinctive repeat piece that is much larger than typical herringbones, and its unique three-dimensional expression, created by the few remaining jacquard looms in Japan, is as captivating as a sculpture.
We are also particular about dyeing, using direct dye to apply no mechanical pressure and time and effort, maximizing the natural texture of linen.
Inside the relaxed easy pants, formal details such as side stamps and cord piping, as well as ornate decorative buttons on the pockets, are scattered with early 1900s European details.
The accessories are packed with attention to detail, such as a thick, rope-like drawcord with a strong presence, a metal zipper, and a natural nut button carved from palm nuts on the top button, further enhancing the fabric's luxurious feel.
With a relaxed wide tapered design, the outseam at the hem is slightly shaved inward, while the side lines are patched and shortened with packering, creating a balanced silhouette that counteracts curves.
