Made with authentic tweed fabric woven from high-quality spun British wool yarn.
The yarn is a thick, high-count 9-count single yarn, and it has a tweed-like texture as it looks, but it is also soft and supple, and you can enjoy both a rough, dry touch and a moderate drape, making it a high-quality fabric that you can directly feel the superiority of by looking at it and touching it.
Like the fabric, this hunting jacket incorporates elements of the Norfolk jacket, which has its roots in England.
This jacket is a quintessential British sports jacket with a history dating back to the 1870s. While the mainstream style is a tailored version with lapels, this particular piece boldly combines a short and wide silhouette with what could be called American hunting elements, resulting in a distinctive look.
The jacket boasts an abundance of appealing details, including a self-fabric belt running from the shoulders to the front and back, handwarmer pockets in the front, a large box-pleated hunting pocket at the back, reinforced collar and large elbow patches in cotton corduroy, and a front closure that can be fastened with a zipper, fly, and buttons.
Of course, attention to detail extends to the accessories as well, with horn buttons carved from buffalo horn, a metal zipper, and a cupro lining, resulting in a meticulously crafted finish.
The garments are sewn in a factory in Yamagata Prefecture that specializes in high-end casual wear.
While many factories specializing in casual wear, including Okayama, are located in western Japan, factories specializing in dress wear are concentrated in eastern Japan, particularly in the Tohoku region. However, this factory is a valuable one, possessing the skills, equipment, and sensibility to adapt the meticulous sewing techniques of dress wear into casual wear.
The generous width of the body and the short length create an exquisite silhouette, and the wide sleeves allow for a wide range of styling options, making it easy to pair with various innerwear.
Available in three distinct colors: BROWN GUN CLUB, a British-inspired blend of brown, wine, and black; GRAY TWILL, characterized by its distinctive, textured twill weave; and NAVY HERRINGBONE, a solid-looking fabric with subtle variations in navy shades that create a sophisticated and deep appearance.
