Description

A leather coin purse featuring an embroidered depiction of the iconic sheep's wool from Riprap.
The story behind its creation is that I felt it would be a waste to throw away the leftover leather from when I made a rider's jacket, so I thought, "What can I make with it?" (Currently, I'm sourcing leather specifically for this coin purse.)
The good thing about the cowhide leather used for the rider's jacket was its thickness and softness.
Taking advantage of that benefit, we consulted with an embroidery shop in Kiryu, Gunma Prefecture, and had them test sagara embroidery by directly dropping needles into leather. After physical property tests showed that the leather did not tear, we commercialized the product.
The lining uses cotton twill in an assortment of colors.
(These are riprap slacks, made using leftover pocket lining fabric from previous projects.)
In today's rapidly cashless society, you can use this cute sheep to hold coins and cards, or even your SUICA, PASMO, or ICOCA card.
