Riprap center-crease jeans - relaxed fit.
These jeans are made from selvedge denim and feature a center crease created with stitching.
The crease line, a characteristic of slacks, and the skewing (twist) of selvedge denim.
And the design incorporates the characteristics of color fading.
In order to take advantage of the inherent characteristic of selvedge denim (denim with selvedge edges woven on a shuttle loom),
For this project, we have asked you to set aside raw denim (denim that has not undergone any finishing processes).
I had them finish it without the anti-twist processing.
The fabric is used for sewing, and then the garment is given a final wash (rinse wash/tumble dry) to create a natural skew pattern.
Because the crease lines are sewn with cotton thread, the threads will gradually break and unravel as you wear them.
The crease lines become more visually prominent as they fade with wear and washing.
The pattern, including the hip volume, deep rise, and outline, is derived from Riprap's two-pleat slacks, resulting in a beautiful shape.
The shape is a relaxed fit with a gentle taper.
It features a classic, medium-width silhouette.
Color fading, twisting, and the crease lines becoming more prominent.

*This product uses synthetic indigo dye and sulfur dye (black), so the color may fade during washing.
We recommend washing this item separately.
